Why we exist

Welcome to Creo Classical Academy! We are a University Model, non-profit, homeschool program located in the Capital District of New York State. Designed with your needs in mind, we offer a two-day, drop-off program where students learn through discussion, nature, play, and rich experiences.

Creo was founded by a team of local moms with over twenty collective years of homeschooling experience as well as backgrounds in teaching, nursing, business, and finance. We are also blessed to have the support of an academic advisory board spanning the East Coast.

We are guided by a deep commitment to nurturing the hearts and minds of our students. At Creo, we believe that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that each child is uniquely created in the image of God, gifted with great potential.

Homeschooling can be challenging, but at Creo, you are not alone. We are here to walk alongside you and your child.

Thank you for choosing Creo Classical Academy!

Mission

Creo Classical Academy exists to provide a time-proven classical education that supports homeschool families. We foster creativity by pointing students toward their Creator, that they may fulfill their uniquely designed purpose.

Vision

To equip homeschool families by offering academic excellence and social integration within a biblical worldview.

Values

  • Believe. We hold to the tenets of the Christian faith.
  • Create. Creo is Latin for “create.” Each child is created in the image of God, a living stone built into the Kingdom. It is our privilege as parents and educators to foster the creativity deposited in them from their Creator.
  • Transform. Knowledge is transformative! When we grow in wisdom and understanding, we transform our entire being and the world around us for good.

We Believe…

…All scripture is God-breathed. The Bible, in its original manuscripts, is without error and therefore authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 10:34)

…There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-19; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 3:16; Titus 2:13; Galatians 4:6)

…God created man in His own image. Because of sin, man fell and became spiritually dead. Thus, man is in need of salvation. (Genesis 1:27; 3:1-24; Ephesians 2:1-2; Romans 5:12)

…In response to man’s need, God the Father sent Jesus to this world to make atonement for sin. His substitutionary death on the cross and His bodily resurrection from the dead, provide the basis for salvation for all who believe. (John 3:16-17; 1 Timothy 2:3-6; Mark 10:45)

…Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9; 1Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

…The Holy Spirit calls, convicts of sin, regenerates, comforts and counsels and spiritually matures all who believe in Jesus Christ. (John 16:7-13; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Ephesians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Galatians 5:22-23)

…We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself. (Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 22:12)

…Marriage is a covenantal relationship created by God for a man and a woman.  Sexual intimacy is a gift from God and has its proper place only within the context of marriage. (Genesis 2:18-24, Leviticus 20:13, Malachi 2:14, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9, Romans 1:18-32, Romans 7:1-3, I Corinthians 6:9-11 & 17-20; I Corinthians 7:1-40, I Corinthians 7:2, I Timothy 1:8-11, Hebrews 13:4)

… We affirm that God creates each person as male or female and that an individual’s gender corresponds with his or her God-given biological gender. (Psalm 139:14; Gen 1:27)
