Will Creo Classical Academy fulfil NYS homeschool requirements?
At Creo Classical Academy, we are building our program specifically with this in mind. We will cover all the NYS Academic requirements in our program.
Do I have to enroll in both days?
Our goal is to have an academically comprehensive and rich program, in order for us to successfully come alongside of you and support you, we have seen our program work best by being a 2-day program.
Do you have teens?
YES! At CCA we have teenagers and are blessed with a growing upper level class!
Are parents allowed to be on campus?
Yes! We will have opportunities for parent volunteers, we will ask for a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer time or a $125 fee if unable to volunteer. We are looking forward to partnering with you!
We backround check Teachers and Volunteers on Campus.
How will I know how to continue teaching at home?
At Creo, our goal is to support the family. We have developed plans for families to follow so that it is a seamless transition from campus to home. Our “family portal” located at the top right of the website, is unlocked to enrolled families and has updated lessons that go through each subject that we are covering in each grade level. Our teachers are committed to providing clear assignments for students.
What days and times are you meeting on?
Creo Classical Academy meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
We have a 8:50 drop off and a 3:10 pick up window.
Are lunches provided?
Lunches are not provided, we have access to a fridge, toaster oven and microwave. Please bring in a labeled lunch, snack and water bottle.
What is your safety protocol?
Most of our teachers are CPR certified, we have a nurse onsite, if there is a concern regarding conduct or safety, the policy is to report to the Head of the School. We will background check all volunteers on campus. We have an evacuation plan and are working with our local law enforcement to implement safety plans to be fully prepared if there was ever an emergency. We plan to have a fire, evacuation and safety drills. We will be signing students in and out.
Does the tuition cost include curriculum?
No, tuition does not include curriculum. Since we are a homeschool program, our families need to own the materials their children are using. This allows you to write in the books, use them for multiple children and have them available at home for facilitating lessons. This ends up being the most cost effective option for both our families and our program. With that said, we work diligently to choose curriculum that is affordable, reusable, and able to be used for multiple grade levels. We also create and facilitate many lesson plans that do not require textbooks.
What grades do you offer programming for?
We offer classrooms for Kindergarten through 10th grade currently. We will be adding 11th grade in the Fall of 2025 and 12th grade in the Fall of 2026.
